In-Between Space
Urban Infill To Reactivate Life Into The City Centre
The oldest parts of Kuala Lumpur are within 1km radius of Masjid Jamek train station. This part of the cty is now antiquated and have experienced many changes and flux of fortune. Spotsofin-between spaces are left over time and overlooked. Some of these spaces have become dilapidated and foreboding.
‘In-between Spaces’ was our proposal to the city to spur a revival by bringing pockets of life that can generate activity and life. As the area is popular with tourists, it was proposed that local craft can be introduced to these pockets through low rental. The selection of craft were to synergise holistically with one another and the pockets were to be linked through a map of communication.
