Nuances Emerge From Contradictions

The project is an artistic investigation on what could emerge with sculpturing two contradictory materials together. A flexible modular set of steel frames are used to construct various ethereal shapes, which are then wrapped with organic palm barks collected from roadsides.

 

The resulting sculptures have infinite nuances and each sculpture provides endless discovery of spatial depth and tactility. The light can flux and wane at different parts of each sculpture. The narrative of shadows and light is an endless phenomenological experience.

 

The steel frames slither and shine whereas the organic material have a depthless life of its own.
